More funding and participants for pollinators

If enacted, the bill would let 501(c)(3) nonprofit groups join the roadside pollinator practices program. It would raise annual program funding to $5,000,000 for each fiscal year 2026 through 2031. The bill would also increase the statutory amount in subsection (e)(2)(B) from $150,000 to $500,000. It would require the action in subsection (d)(1)(F) to occur only after consultation with the Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Tribal consultation would be limited to tribes on the Interior’s federally recognized list whose tribal land is within 50 miles of a proposed project. The bill would also clarify which eligible entities must be consulted and say no additional consultation is required beyond plan development.
