Grants for law enforcement vehicle armor
This bill would let the Department of Homeland Security allow certain grant money to pay for vehicle security upgrades, including bulletproof windows. The Secretary of Homeland Security would have to authorize these uses. The authorization would apply to financial assistance awarded under subsection (d)(2) of section 432 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002. The bill would not add new funding, change who qualifies for grants, or create a new program.
