Drilling permit fees extended to 2037
If enacted, this bill would allow the Department of the Interior to keep collecting the permit-processing fee for new oil and gas drilling applications through 2037. For each fiscal year 2027 through 2037, all fees collected under that permit-processing rule would be transferred into the Bureau of Land Management Permit Processing Improvement Fund. The bill would not change fee amounts or who can apply for permits.
