More federal loans for foreign medical students

If enacted, this bill would let some students at graduate medical schools outside the United States get federal student loans. Those loans would be part of Title IV, Part D. One test would let a foreign graduate medical school qualify if at least 60% of enrolled students and at least 60% of graduates were not persons described in section 484(a)(5) in the prior year. The other test would let a school qualify if it had a State-approved clinical training program on January 31, 2021 that required an on-site visit and still operates at least one State-approved clinical program in a State. If your school meets either test, you would become potentially eligible for federal loans to pay medical school costs.
