Permanent Trump Accounts with Inflation
This bill would remove the program's sunset so the Trump Accounts contribution continues after tax years beginning Dec 31, 2026. If you qualify, you would keep receiving the Trump Accounts contribution in future tax years; the bill does not change who qualifies. For tax years beginning after 2028, the $1,000 amount would be increased by $1,000 times the cost-of-living adjustment for the calendar year in which the tax year begins, using calendar year 2027 in that COLA formula. Any increase that is not a multiple of $100 would be rounded down to the nearest $100.
