Ensuring the El Paso VA Medical Center is ready to treat veterans. This bill would require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to brief the House and Senate Veterans' Affairs and Appropriations committees within 180 days on staffing and recruitment, workforce stability and hiring capacity, the timeline for medical equipment procurement and installation, specialty care to be offered, local demand for care, plans to transfer care from other facilities, coordination with Department of Defense hospitals including William Beaumont Army Medical Center, and access or travel issues for rural and urban veterans.
