More time to appeal disaster aid
If enacted, you would have 90 days instead of 60 days to file an appeal of a disaster aid decision. This would apply to appeals under section 423(a) of the Stafford Act (42 U.S.C. 5189a(a)). The change would take effect upon enactment. Homeowners, renters, and small businesses would get the extra 30 days to prepare and file appeals.
