Entrepreneurship help for formerly incarcerated

If enacted, individuals formerly incarcerated in a Federal prison would be able to get nationwide entrepreneurship counseling and training from SCORE. SCORE would provide tailored workshops, instructional videos, and tools to find business ideas. Covered individuals would get regular one-on-one mentoring for about one year to build a skills profile, business plan, and transition plan. SCORE would also help find local resources and sources of capital and, when appropriate, assist with loan or funding applications. The SBA would require SCORE to survey recipients and must report to two congressional small business committees within 1 year of enactment and every year after, including numbers mentored, hours of mentorship, recipient demographics, and a survey analysis.
