Summary
This bill would extend federal enhanced criminal penalties to "targeted veterans." It makes crimes committed against targeted veterans of any age eligible for the tougher penalties in 18 U.S.C. §2326(2) by adding a new subparagraph (C) and cross-referencing the definition in 38 U.S.C. §101. The amendment broadens the set of victims protected by the enhanced-penalty rule to include those who meet the statutory definition of targeted veterans.
