- Workers: For new federal or assisted construction contracts awarded after the 30-day window, Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage rules would no longer apply.
- Contractors: Firms bidding on new federally funded or assisted construction work after the 30-day period would not be bound by Davis-Bacon wage determinations, while contracts already awarded or bids outstanding at that date remain unaffected.

Repeal Davis-Bacon wage rules
If enacted, this bill would repeal the Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage rules 30 days after enactment. Any contract in existence on that 30th day and any bid already outstanding would remain under the old rules. Contractors on federal or federally assisted construction would face fewer wage requirements and lower labor costs. Construction workers on affected projects would lose prevailing‑wage protections and would likely earn less on future contracts. The bill would also void references to those wage rules in other federal laws and would not create new wage determinations or enforcement systems.
