SBA AI disclosure plan for small businesses
If enacted, the bill would require the SBA Administrator, acting through the Chief Information Officer, to implement the GAO May 4, 2026 report's recommendations on AI. Not later than 45 days after enactment, the SBA would submit an implementation plan to the House and Senate Committees on Small Business. The plan would list actions and timelines, define roles for collecting, summarizing, and publishing AI use cases, and document implementation steps and key decisions. Policies would follow section 7225 of the Advancing American AI Act and OMB memorandum M-25-21 (or any successor).
