Free DOJ training for small, rural police

This bill would let accredited nonprofit groups receive DOJ law enforcement training grants. The Attorney General would decide which nonprofits are "accredited" based on training experience and a strong track record. Grants would fund training that follows DOJ priorities. Training must be given to agencies with fewer than 50 sworn officers and be free to the agency. The bill would define a "law enforcement training grant" as a training grant the Attorney General gives under the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968.
