More help for small businesses
This bill would require the SBA Administrator and the MBDA National Director to direct local Small Business Development Centers and MBDA business centers to work together within 180 days of enactment. The two agencies would submit a joint report to Congress within two years. The report would summarize results and challenges, count consultations, educational activities, and outreach, report how many small businesses were served and how many new businesses and jobs started or were supported, state the dollar amount of financial assistance tied to the collaboration, and give recommendations to improve coordination. The bill would not itself provide new funding.
