Online portal for space licenses
If enacted, this bill would require the Secretary of Transportation to create an electronic Portal for licenses and approvals under chapter 509 of title 51 not later than one year after enactment. If you apply for a license or approval under chapter 509, you would be able to submit and modify applications online and upload or access supporting documents. The Portal would log communications between the Secretary, each applicant or recipient, and any Federal agencies consulted under section 50918. The Portal would let the Secretary make determinations, show milestone dates and processing-time metrics to applicants, and publicly display the specified dates and the application's status.
