State prosecutions for federal immigration officers
This bill would let State prosecutors charge federal officers for deaths or serious injuries that happen while enforcing U.S. immigration laws. It would say those officers could not claim immunity from State criminal law in those cases. It would apply when a person is engaged in duties related to enforcing the immigration laws (as defined in the Immigration and Nationality Act) and the act causes death or serious bodily injury.
