Carryback for low-income housing credits
If enacted, taxpayers who claim the low-income housing tax credit would be able to carry that credit back up to five years. This would let developers, project owners, syndicators, and investors reduce prior-year tax bills or get refunds. The change would apply to taxable years beginning after the date of enactment.
