Study of hazing offense for service members

This bill would require the Secretary of Defense to study creating a separate hazing crime in the military justice code. It would work with the Joint Service Committee on Military Justice. The Secretary would propose a definition of "hazing" for that article. A report must be sent to the House and Senate Armed Services Committees within 180 days of enactment. This would be a study and would not itself create a new crime or change punishments.
