More reliable mail delivery nationwide
This bill would require the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to review and, to the extent practicable, implement the Inspector General's recommendations. The recommendations are in the report Delivery Operations—Undelivered and Partially Delivered Routes (Report Number 21–262–R23), dated December 16, 2022. USPS would have to finish implementing those recommendations not later than one year after the date of enactment. If enacted, households and small businesses would likely see more reliable mail delivery if USPS follows the recommendations. The bill does not provide new funding or detailed implementation instructions.
