Small business loans for software and artificial intelligence

If enacted, small business owners could use SBA 7(a) loans to pay for business software, cloud services, and AI tools. Eligible uses would include payroll, HR, sales, billing, accounting, inventory, and records and expense tracking. The bill would not allow these loans to fund research and development. Loans already made for these uses before enactment would not be treated as invalid. It would take effect upon enactment and would not change the current definition of working capital.
