Sponsored By: Representative Casar, Greg [D-TX-35]

Introduced

Doubles the overtime pay rate to 'double time' for covered employees. This bill would amend the Fair Labor Standards Act by replacing each reference to "one and one-half" times the regular rate with "two" times the regular rate, including changes to Section 7 and several subsections of Section 13. The change would raise overtime pay from 1.5x to 2x for hours that qualify as overtime, increasing pay for eligible workers and increasing employers' overtime costs.
