This bill would bar payment of any judgment, award, compromise settlement, interest, or costs that arise from a lawsuit or claim filed by the President or Vice President. The ban would apply to cases pending as of January 20, 2025 and to any lawsuit filed on or after that date. People or entities who win or settle those suits would not be able to receive the court-ordered payments.
