Faster permits for recreation projects
This bill would amend the FAST Act by adding the word recreation to the definition of covered projects at 42 U.S.C. 4370m(6)(A). If enacted, recreation projects would be eligible for the FAST Act permitting-improvement processes. Developers, concessionaires, nonprofits, and other project sponsors would be able to seek faster or more coordinated federal permitting. The bill would not provide any new funding or change other FAST Act authorities.
