Higher ABLE account limit for SSI

If enacted, this bill would raise how much of an ABLE account does not count for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). For calendar year 2026 the disregard would be $150,000. In each later year the disregard would be the larger of the prior year amount or that amount increased by the CPI‑U percent change for the 12 months ending June 30 before the year. The Commissioner of Social Security would have to determine and publish the new amount in the Federal Register by November 1 before each year.
