Define the 2026 psilocybin trial
This bill would define the single "covered clinical trial" as the 2026 open‑label Phase 1 study titled "An Open-Label, Phase 1 Study of the Safety Pharmacokinetic Profile, and Preliminary Efficacy, of Organic Whole Psilocybin-Containing Mushrooms in Patients Suffering From PTSD." The definition would apply upon enactment. It would tell DoD and partners which study to review for possible future pilot activities. Study psilocybin access for veterans
This bill would require FDA, DEA, DoD, and other agencies to evaluate expanded access pathways for investigational Schedule I treatments like psilocybin. Agencies would be asked to act quickly and follow federal law, the Federal Right to Try Act, and the April 18, 2026 Executive Order on serious mental illness. Any evaluations and guidance would need to preserve safety, security, and diversion controls. The bill would not itself authorize or fund treatments.
