Pause national emergency end countdown

This bill sought to pause the legal countdown that ends certain national emergencies. It would have said each day from February 10, 2026 through July 31, 2026 would not count toward the deadline in section 202 of the National Emergencies Act. The pause applied only to emergencies declared on February 1, 2025; April 2, 2025; July 30, 2025; and August 6, 2025. The change did not provide new payments or tax changes, but it could have kept emergency authorities or rules in place longer for some people, contractors, and businesses.
