HRES1055119th Congress

Providing for the consideration of the bill (H.R. 7378) to amend the Calder Act to permanently adjust American time, and for other purposes.

Sponsored By: Representative Steube, W. Gregory [R-FL-17]

Introduced

Summary

Fast-tracks consideration of H.R. 7378 by setting strict floor rules that speed debate and block changes. This resolution would waive points of order against considering the bill and against its provisions and would consider the bill as read. It would prohibit any amendments and limit debate to one hour, split equally between the chair and the ranking minority member of the Committee on Energy and Commerce or their designees. The resolution would also allow one motion to recommit and exempt Clause 1(c) of House Rule XIX from applying during this consideration.
