This bill would designate National Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Day on March 3, 2026 to raise awareness and press for strong action to eradicate triple-negative breast cancer. Triple-negative breast cancer is estrogen receptor-negative, progesterone receptor-negative, and HER2-negative, makes up about 10 to 15 percent of breast cancer diagnoses, is often more aggressive and more likely to spread or recur, and disproportionately affects younger women, Black and Hispanic women, and people with BRCA gene mutations.
