Recognizing and honoring National Mushroom Day and the contributions of Chester and Berks Counties to the national mushroom industry and to healthy diets.

This resolution would designate June 1 as National Mushroom Day and honor Chester and Berks Counties for producing over 60% of U.S. mushrooms. It would recognize the industry's nearly 10,000 workers and the roughly $2.7 billion it brings into Chester County, celebrate year‑round production that supports steady jobs and supply chains, and highlight mushrooms' affordability, low calories and cholesterol‑free nutrition and their use of agricultural byproducts in a circular economy.
