This resolution would designate May 2026 as Arthritis Awareness Month and formally recognize the Arthritis Foundation’s efforts and 75th anniversary. It notes arthritis includes more than 100 rheumatic diseases, affects nearly 60 million adults and about 300,000 children, leaves 25.7 million people with activity limits, causes work limitations for one in four people with arthritis, affects one in three veterans, and costs the U.S. over $304 billion a year in medical care and lost wages.
