Designates May 2026 as Borderline Personality Disorder Awareness Month to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote education, research, and access to effective, evidence based treatment for people living with Borderline Personality Disorder. The resolution notes BPD affects about 1.6 to 3.9 percent of the population, roughly 5.5 million to 13.3 million people in the United States, reports that 65 to 70 percent of people with BPD attempt suicide and about 8 to 10 percent die by suicide, and calls for better diagnosis, clinician training, funding, and early intervention.
