National Physician Suicide Awareness Day would be designated for September 17, 2026 to raise public awareness about physician suicide and reduce stigma around physician mental health. The resolution would also encourage a day of reflection to honor physicians who died by suicide, support more research into causes and barriers to care, and ask the President to issue a proclamation promoting education and awareness.
