Summary
Extends middle-mile broadband authorization through 2031. The Middle Mile for Rural America Act would amend the Rural Electrification Act of 1936 to change the authorized window for expanding middle mile infrastructure from 2018–2023 to 2026–2031. It reauthorizes use of the existing statutory framework to support middle mile projects in rural areas.
