Summary
Adopt shelter dogs into CBP's Support Canine Program. This bill would require the Department of Homeland Security, through the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, to set up a pilot within 60 days to adopt dogs from local animal shelters and train them as support dogs. The pilot would run for three years from its establishment and aims to place shelter dogs as support animals for CBP personnel.
