This bill would explicitly extend the reach of the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), stewardship contracts, and the Critical Conservation Areas framework to Indian Tribes and to areas defined as tribal land under the Energy Policy Act of 1992.

This bill would add Indian Tribes and areas on tribal land to several USDA conservation programs. If enacted, it would explicitly include tribes and tribal lands in EQIP, the Conservation Stewardship Program, stewardship contract authorities, and the Critical Conservation Areas framework.
