New accelerator for farm researchers
This bill would require the BARD Fund to set up an accelerator to speed mid-stage agricultural research. The accelerator would support projects based on technology readiness level and priority areas the Fund sets. It would let selected U.S. and Israeli scientists fast-track joint research. It would provide resources, management help, technical assistance, and consulting to participating researchers and small farm businesses. The bill would authorize $8,000,000 to be appropriated to the BARD Fund for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031. The accelerator would begin upon enactment.
