This bill would designate May 2026 as ALS Awareness Month and affirms goals to ensure people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) have early access to effective treatments and high-quality services, to identify risk factors and causes to prevent new cases, to empower patients to maintain independence, and to reduce the physical and emotional burdens of the disease while commending family members, volunteers, researchers, and caregivers.
