Whole 6 GHz Band Opened for Very Low‑Power Devices

The FCC allows unlicensed very low‑power (VLP) devices to operate across the entire 6 GHz band, listed as 5.925-7.125 MHz. These devices will follow the same power levels and technical/operational rules used in the U‑NII‑5 (5.925-6.425 MHz) and U‑NII‑7 (6.525-6.875 MHz) portions of the band to avoid harmful interference, and the change provides extra spectrum for high‑throughput, low‑latency use by portable devices.
