Summary

If you fly or maintain certain Airbus A350-941 and -1041 planes, listen up! The FAA wants to update the rules for how these planes get checked and maintained to keep them super safe. 2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

New Maintenance Program Requirement

If you operate or maintain Airbus A350-941 or A350-1041 airplanes, the FAA proposes you must revise your existing maintenance or inspection program to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. This proposed rule would supersede AD 2023-02-18 and require adoption of the limitations specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD that the FAA proposes to incorporate by reference.

Safety Boost for A350 Passengers

The FAA says the proposed AD is intended to address an unsafe condition on Airbus A350-941 and A350-1041 airplanes by adding new, stricter inspection steps and airworthiness limitations. The change continues certain actions from AD 2023-02-18 and aims to help prevent problems before they happen for those aircraft models.
