Two-Day Safety Zone at Sand Key

On August 23, 2025 and August 24, 2025, a temporary safety zone will be in place in the waters near Sand Key Beach, Clearwater, FL. You and your boat cannot enter the safety zone on those dates unless you get written authorization from the Captain of the Port Sector St. Petersburg or a designated representative.

No Extra Public Fees for Zone

The Coast Guard states this safety zone is intended to protect racers and spectators without imposing extra costs on the public. There will be no new public fees associated with the temporary safety zone during the event.
