Must Notify Fed Before Buying Bank Shares
If you plan to buy or increase control of shares in a bank or a bank holding company, you must notify the Federal Reserve and wait for its approval under the Change in Bank Control Act (12 U.S.C. 1817(j)) and Regulation Y Sec. 225.41 (12 CFR 225.41).
