Annual Great Lakes Safety Zones

The Coast Guard will enforce safety zones during recurring annual water events in the Captain of the Port Eastern Great Lakes zone. During those enforcement periods, no person or vessel may enter a safety zone without permission from the Captain of the Port Eastern Great Lakes or a designated representative. The rule is intended to protect lives and property and does not impose a fee for compliance.
