This proposal augments earlier Supplemental Priorities and definitions and is intended to direct grant competitions toward advancing AI in education.

Tech developers gain grant opportunities

Technology developers and companies that build AI education tools could gain more opportunities to receive discretionary grants from the Department of Education under a new priority and definitions for AI in education. The Secretary may apply this priority to current or future grant competitions to encourage development of smart learning tools.
