Temporary safety zones at Beltway 8

If you operate a boat in the Houston Ship Channel under the Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway) Bridge, you may not enter two temporary safety zones that each cover a 120-yard radius from points on the north and south shore during overhead bridge construction. Entry by vessels or persons is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Houston-Galveston.
