BLM Rescinds Prior NPR‑A Guidance

This action removes those prior management documents for the special areas.
Management Shift to Align with EO 14153
The BLM will update how special areas in the National Petroleum Reserve‑Alaska are managed to better match the President's energy goals under Executive Order 14153, "Unleashing Alaska's Extraordinary Resource Potential." The change is being made because the previous documents were found inconsistent with the President's and Department's national energy strategy.
New NPR‑A Rules Will Be Issued Soon
