2025 South Atlantic Red Snapper Closure

If you sell red snapper commercially in the South Atlantic exclusive economic zone (EEZ), starting in 2025 you are not allowed to catch or land commercial red snapper because projected commercial landings are expected to reach the commercial annual catch limit (ACL) for the 2025 fishing year. NMFS is closing the commercial sector for red snapper in the South Atlantic EEZ to protect the red snapper resource.
