Council may set Alaska fish limits

From December 1–9, 2025 the North Pacific Fishery Management Council will consider and may take action on harvest specifications and management measures for Gulf of Alaska (GOA) groundfish, Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands (BSAI) groundfish and crab, Bering Sea pollock industry dynamic spatial closure measures for 2026, crab arbitration and C-shares, and charter halibut management measures (including 2025 annual measures and 2026 measures). Fishermen, seafood businesses, and local communities may be affected because these agenda items concern how much and where fish and crab can be fished.
