Notice

Summary

The EPA got requests from companies to stop selling or change how some pesticides are used. If no big objections come in by December 22, 2025, these changes will go through, affecting farmers, sellers, and anyone using these pesticides. This means some products might disappear or have new rules soon, so keep an eye out!

Listed Pesticides May Be Canceled Soon

EPA received requests from registrants to voluntarily cancel or amend registrations for the pesticide products listed in Unit II. If no substantive comments are received and the requests are not withdrawn, EPA intends to issue cancellation/amendment orders after the 30-day comment period that ends on December 22, 2025, which will change whether those products can be sold, distributed, or used.

One-Year Sell-Through for Some Cancelled Stocks

For the products in Table 1, registrants will be allowed to sell and distribute existing stocks for 1 year after the effective date of the cancellation order in the Federal Register. After that 1-year period, sale or distribution will be prohibited except for export or proper disposal.

Eighteen-Month Sell-Through Requested for Some Products

For the products listed in Table 1A, the registrants have requested (and EPA anticipates allowing) 18 months after publication of the cancellation order in the Federal Register to sell existing stocks. After that 18-month period, sale or distribution will be prohibited except for export or proper disposal.

Eighteen-Month Sell-Through After Label Amendments

For products in Table 2 where registrants requested termination of certain uses, once EPA has approved amended labels, registrants may sell or distribute products under the previously approved labeling for 18 months after the date of publication of the cancellation order in the Federal Register. After that 18-month period, sale or distribution of products for the terminated uses will be prohibited except for export or proper disposal.

Users and Retailers Can Use Existing Stocks Until Exhausted

People other than the registrant (such as retailers and end users) are generally allowed to sell, distribute, or use existing stocks of canceled products or products with terminated uses until supplies are exhausted, provided those actions follow the previously approved labeling.
