Most Cold Case Pages Released

The Review Board decided to publicly disclose most of the 2,883 pages it received about three civil rights cold case incidents. Specifically, the Board determined that 2,866 pages in full and 17 pages in part should be added to the Civil Rights Cold Case Records Collection, following decisions on September 12 and October 3, 2025.

Some Records Still Postponed

The Board and agencies identified proposed postponements on some records, and 18 proposed postponements remain under coordination because of sensitive information. Agencies had proposed 65 postponements and the FBI withdrew 17 of its postponements; the Board approved 22 postponements and portions of 2 additional postponements, and the remaining items are postponed until final coordination and disclosure decisions are made.
