Class E Radius Expanded to 7.7 Miles

Pilots who fly instrument procedures to or from Live Oak County Airport (George West, TX) will see the Class E airspace radius increase from 6.4 miles to 7.7 miles, effective 0901 UTC on March 19, 2026. The FAA says this supports instrument flight rule (IFR) procedures and there are no extra costs for pilots or operators.

Three Rivers VORTAC Removed from Legal Description

Because the Three Rivers VOR was decommissioned under the VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) Program, the Three Rivers VORTAC and its associated extension were removed from the George West Class E airspace legal description. This change also takes effect 0901 UTC on March 19, 2026, and supports updated IFR procedures at the airport.
