IEX Raises Fees for Trader Connections Starting January

Primary Data Center Port Fee Hike

If your firm pays for a direct physical port to IEX's Primary Data Center, the monthly charge rises from $4,000 to $7,000 per port starting January 1, 2026. About 35% of IEX Members had one or more direct physical port connections as of November 1, 2025 and would be affected if they keep their direct connections.

New Disaster Recovery Port Fee

IEX will begin charging $3,000 per month for each physical port connection to its Disaster Recovery (Secondary) Data Center in Chicago starting January 1, 2026. As of November 1, 2025, 11% of Members maintained at least one direct port to the Disaster Recovery Data Center and would be subject to this new monthly fee if they retain those connections.

Drop Copy Port Monthly Charge Introduced

IEX will charge $450 per month for each logical Drop Copy Port beginning January 1, 2026. As of November 1, 2025, 28% of Members were Drop Copy Port subscribers and would face the new $450 monthly fee per port if they keep their Drop Copy Ports.

Third-Party Providers May Pass On Fees

Service bureaus and Extranet Providers that offer IEX connectivity may increase the fees they charge their customers because IEX raised or introduced connectivity fees. About 45% of Members accessed IEX indirectly through a Service Bureau or Extranet Provider as of November 1, 2025, so those indirect users could see higher monthly bills.
